The Lion Within Us is a community that provides encouragement to become the leaders we are predestined to be. Our main focus lies within three categories: Health (Mental/Physical), Wealth (Careers/Finances) and Self (Husbands/Fathers/Brothers in Christ). By sharpening these areas of our lives, we can find the strength needed to stand firm in our faith and show the world The Lion Within Us.
Strong spiritual leaders know that the combination of self-improvement (specifically towards the areas of Health, Wealth, and Self) paired with steadfast faithfulness in Christ can create positive, dynamic shifts in our lives.
Authentic, Christ-centered leadership is a responsibility that Lions take seriously. They know that it’s necessary to exercise and flex this muscle on a continual basis in order to influence and lead at maximum capacity. However, that work ethic needs to be coupled with daily personal prayer time with God in order to maintain balance. Jesus recognized the need to set aside one-on-one time with God and has given us the gift of unbridled access to Him through prayer.
Recognizing how to tap into that power and unleash it in your daily life is a carefully learned skill. As a Lion, you can find confidence in the fact that you are a soldier in God’s army, and that he has equipped you with everything needed to lead your family against the attacks of the world. I challenge you rise up, put on His armor, and join the battle. Your family is worth it. You are worth it.
The journey of creating The Lion Within Us has been fueled by my desire to help others and glorify God. I am blessed to be in several leadership positions in a professional and spiritual capacity. First and foremost, I’m a devoted husband to a loving wife, a true “Proverbs 31” Woman and the strongest person I know. Together, we lead a family of three beautiful girls and one amazing son. I’m currently a deacon at my church and a Certified Financial Coach. Professionally, I work as an Engineering and Services Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina.
There was a point in time where my life was spiraling out of control and I felt helpless. By the Grace of God and sheer willpower, I was able to take inventory of my life, analyze and improve my habits, and become the man that God has called me to be. Though I’ve faced difficult storms involving love and loss, I’ve been blessed beyond measure and God has never left my side. I want use my testimony to encourage others and let them know that they too can find joy and fulfillment in the midst of the most difficult storm.
Whether you’ve grown up in the church or you’ve just been introduced to Jesus, we have a gracious and loving God who will meet you where you’re at. Through a culmination of my experiences in different roles over the past couple of decades, I have learned that the best way to lead is to serve. The Lion Within Us is a community of men who can encourage one another and share in life’s battles and victories.
