That Lead to Success for a Lion
Each day is an opportunity to go in one of three directions. You can either move forward, stay the same or go backwards. As a Christian man each day can leave a lasting impact on those around us regarding our testimony. Satan wants us to fall into his traps and not be the ambassador that we are called to be. Recognizing that he wants to trip us up and derail our testimony is the motivation needed to put solid practices in place to defend from those attacks and stand strong when adversity hits.
When considering the habits that lead to success for a Lion consider the three areas:
- Physical Fitness
- Mental Fitness
- Spiritual Fitness
As you think about these areas consider a three-legged stool. When all the legs are equal (same length and balance) the design works great, and it provides a safe place to rest. However, when the legs are not in alignment the stool is shaky at best and not a reliable piece. Let’s take a closer look at each area of the “leg” to see where we can begin adjusting have the strongest testimony possible.

This is an area that ether guys absolutely crush it, or it is a constant struggle. Since we know that we are not our own and the price that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 is the ultimate price that Jesus paid on the cross for us, then we should take this to heart and take the time to tune our “temples” every day. Building strong mental habits into our day is vital to success. Having a focused and tuned mind is critical in our ability to serve Him at the highest level. Many men think this is an area they can boot strap and push through without taking intentional acts to protect their mental state. Check out the guide for the 3 Mental Habits.

The third leg of the stool is one that often gets overlooked and that is spiritual habits. The classic Christian answer of “I go to church” is not what we are referring to here. To grow in your faith, it is vital that you are plugged in and serving at a local church but that is just a few hours a week. That is NOT enough time to be prepared for the battles you will face. Church should be a supplement to your spiritual growth and the true work comes by you directly and outside of the church walls. Check out the guide for the 3 Spiritual Habits.
