Welcome to The Lion Within Us, a podcast serving Christian men who are hungry to be the leaders God intends you to be. I’m your host, chris Stranger. Let’s jump in. Alright, guys meet episode time When we get into it. Let’s look at our scripture to the week.
00:15
Okay, so we’re in Matthew 24. We don’t look at one verse, but, concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. And if you miss me, i’m packing that spiritual kickoff. Go check it out, okay, because I really spent some time unpacking that verse and just trying to give you some ways to simplify and apply it to your wall. Okay, that’s really what it’s all about. So go check that one out Now.
00:40
Today we’re going to be talking about trusting God’s timing And why we need to do that is Christian men, and it can be so hard to trust God’s timing. It really can be, and when we get off, we try to figure out things on our own. That’s when we can usually get into trouble, because timing can be everything. So I want to get us started today. I want to give you guys an example, something that came to my mind when I was thinking about timing. In general, i used to play a lot of baseball. I still coach a lot of softball And at the time of this recording we just finished up our softball season Go Lions. We won a championship. It was pretty cool, had a great year, and when I played baseball I pitched and I played first base And I love pitching. And my favorite player at the time back in the day was Greg Maddox. I want to know how many of you guys are Maddox fans out there. I want to know how many of you actually know who Greg Maddox is. He was a pitcher who pitched for the Braves. He played for the Cubs for a little bit when he first got started, but he was primarily a Braves pitcher. Love Maddox, love watching him. Got to go to Atlanta one time. I got to see him actually pitch in person. That was probably one of the highlights in my life from a baseball standpoint To see Maddox pitch. I actually was real close to his car. I could almost get his autograph. Somebody hit his car and he had to. He took off, but Maddox was not dominant from a speed stamp point on the mail. He wasn’t throwing it up for 90s or 100 miles an hour. That was not his style. Nope, what he was was very precise. He could put the ball anywhere he wanted. When he did. He was very good at keeping batters timing off. If you keep a batters timing off, your statistics of actually being successful on the mound go up.
02:22
I modeled a lot of what I tried to do on the mound to Greg Maddox. Was I Maddox on the mound? No, of course I’d be in a major league, but I definitely tried to model, emulate the things he did. I was really big on breaking balls. I was really big on change ups, because if I could keep that hitters timing off and they were always guessing at what comes next, you know what I had a lot more success on the mound. That’s really what Maddox did. He kept their timing off. It was a really good for me example.
02:56
To be an effective pitcher. It’s really about disturbing their timing. I know I’ve got a lot of baseball players or listeners out there who love to sport Shout out to my boy Stephen, i know you’re all about to let these broke, but think about it. When you’re out there and you see a really effective pitcher out there doing their thing, what are they doing? They’re controlling the timing first of all of the game. Now that’s changed a lot recently with the major league baseball, with pitch clock and things like that, but still the pitch clock cannot affect the pitch that’s actually being delivered to the plate, and that from a timing standpoint. If you want to see somebody look bad, how about you just be flipping a fastball to them when they’re just saying on a change of then they’re never going to catch, or vice versa, they’re going to be so far out in front, they’re going to look bad.
03:44
Some timing is so important. So what we’re going to look at today is God’s timing and how we need to be, how we can actually apply this to our life. So what’s going on here? We’re going to start off by looking at Matthew 24. And we’re going to see here that basically what’s going on is Jesus answering a question from a disciple. And if you look at 24 verse 3, matthew 24 verse 3, by the way, guys, this may be an episode you want to grab your Bible and follow along. It’s all good.
04:14
And first three is this as he and Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately saying Tell us when will these things happen And what will be the sign of your coming, end of the end of the age. So what Jesus gets ready to go through here in this discourse is we’re going to lay out to them signs of his coming. What’s getting ready to take place Now, when you actually get to the verses that we’re getting ready to look at, he breaks down three illustrations. He breaks down a fig tree, talks about Noah, and he talks about a thief in the night. So we’re going to unpack those together to hopefully give you guys some insight to where he’s talking about, what he’s going to base it, that we can ultimately simplify the plot to our life. So, starting off at verse 32, so we’re going to be in Matthew 24, when we look at verses 32 and 33, first, he says Now, learn the terrible from the fig tree. When its branches already become tender and put forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. So you too, when you see all these things, recognize that he is near, right at the door. Okay, so what’s going on Jesus is talking about? he’s basically giving an answer to his questions for your disciples. Let’s look at verse 32 a little bit closer. So I don’t know about you guys. He says Learn the terrible from the fig tree.
05:31
Who likes figs? You know I had a fig tree actually in our backyard at one house, so I looked at it in my past And the cool thing about a fig tree is kind of back in Jesus time. People absolutely love these things. I mean they were thought of as like a delicacy. They were definitely like a dessert. Bigs are pretty sweet. If you ever get around fig tree, you know when they start turning that right, that right color and you put them off the vine, you bite into them. They’re just a really, really treat And there’s this big taste. So good. And I thought it was interesting with my fig tree first year we had it. You know that leaves can get to be very big. They’re very big leaves on the fig tree And then during the winter time the leaves show up, they fall off and these things look terrible. I mean, they look absolutely horrible. Like, is this thing dead or not? In the next spring the fig leaves will come back, everything will bloom and it’s beautiful.
06:25
And what Jesus is kind of pointing out to here is like, look, there’s a lesson in the parable that he’s teaching. Now we also need to remember, before we go too much further, what is a parable, because you may have heard parables before and you’re like well, what exactly is a parable, chris? Well, a parable is an earthly story of the heavenly meaning. That’s usually where I think about it. Okay, jesus taught about this a lot, so he was kind of making like that illustration for us so that we can understand what’s getting around.
06:51
And what he’s really pointing to here is the lesson of the fig tree is look, you know, you know the people back then. They knew when a branch became tender but for this leaves, that summer is near. They knew that. Why they knew that? Because so many of them back in that part of the world, particularly in that time, they were very familiar with fig trees. They knew that. Someone who’s had a fig tree in my backyard you could tell those things start ripening and start producing. You just knew that time of year was here and that thing was getting ready to be full of figs. It was gonna be ready to be a harvest, right. And Jesus is pointing to this look, this is gonna be a sign. Just like you know when that fig tree is getting ready to produce, you’re gonna know these things too, because you’re gonna recognize that he is near. He’s being Jesus right, right at the door.
07:42
That’s kind of what Jesus is pointing out to here, guys, is they knew that he knew that he could make a connection with the disciples by talking about something that they were very familiar with. This is a great leadership lesson for us too. You wanna connect with others. If you actually wanna try to serve them, you better try to connect with them. So Jesus is making that connection with them right here, right here in this pyramid around a fig tree, because he knew this was something that would have been very familiar, very top of mind. These guys wouldn’t have made a big stretch for them to actually figure this out.
08:13
Okay, now, when you get to verse 34, right here, no, verse 33, i’m sorry, says so. Even so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that he is near, right at the door. He says, even so, he’s getting ready to give us some context. Okay, that’s what he’s doing, and he didn’t always do that. I mean, jesus didn’t always give context And I’m just so thankful he did sometimes, just for someone like me who sometimes I just need a little help from Jesus to understand what you’re. But he’s talking about. He gives it to us, right, okay, and what he’s when he talks about, truly, that city, this. So you too, when you see that all these things, recognize that he is near right at the door. So when he’s saying, right here, when you see all these things happening, all the things that we see out here in the world, the crazy things, the signs that are coming, you’re gonna know that he is near right at the door.
09:03
I thought it was pretty cool and I was doing some research on this one When I was talking about right, when he’s talking about being at the door, that music could also be referred to as a gate. Okay, when you start thinking about the Greek, when you start looking at the Greek translation of that door and it’s figure thing he uses, obviously, as we know in scripture, you just think about he is the gate for the sheep, right, right, and in church at Lenticea, when he says he says I stand at the door or not. Now, the cool part is when you hear somebody knock at a door, what do you automatically? do You go open it? why? Cause somebody’s out there.
09:39
And that’s what Jesus is saying right here. He’s emphasizing his closeness to us, and for me, that’s when I read these two verses. There’s so much we can learn to serve from God’s word. But just reading these two verses, know that he is near. Trust him, then. Trust in his time, because his timing may feel like it’s all man like. Come on, god, when you hear me at all, when are you listening? Right here, he’s telling us he is near, right at the door. God, guys, he is here with us Now. Nobody knows when the last days will be here, but you can rest assured in one thing Jesus hears your cries, he hears your prayers, he hears your Lent’s when you’re crying out to them. He wants to have that relationship with you. You can trust that he is here. His closeness is here And we need to be ready listening for that night, whatever he’s calling us to do, guys, this is a very important couple of scriptures right here, when we think about a fig tree and it’s getting ready to produce fruit, to produce fruit, and understanding the size of the ear. He’s pointing these illustrations to help connect, for these disciples understand what is getting ready to come. All right, fellas, let’s take our first break and we’ll be right back when we’re digging into the scripture together.
10:57

12:00
Now let’s look at the next two verses here, seeing what’s going on with this particular, with these particular verses, and how we can actually apply them to our lives. Verses 34 and 35. It says truly I say to you this generation will not pass away. Till all these things take place, heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. All right, guys. So that is very important. Verses right here.
12:24
What Jesus is ultimately doing, he’s putting his people on alert. Okay, because what he says he gives you another, truly, truly, i tell you. So, what does your way, do You hear it? when you get to the Bible, you read, derek, read us very truly or truly. I say to you, what should you do in those moments? Better pay attention, because Jesus is basically saying, like yo, this is important. Of course, everything he said was important, but he’s putting some extra emphasis on this.
12:47
Okay, so, when he gets to talk about this generation, there’s actually, when I was doing some studying for this, there’s three, basically, ideas or trains of thought that came to this generation that he’s referring to. The first one was the people that rejected Jesus, why he was on earth. That could have been the generation he’s referring to. The second one is for people think maybe it was a generation who lived in 8070, when the actual temple failed. And the third is other people think this is the people who’ll be alive at the time of his second coming. That’s really what’s going on here with this particular verse and this part of scripture. So when you get to verse 34, so what he’s emphasizing is that something is getting ready to happen of extreme significance that he did not intend to miss.
13:34
Okay, and when you have something important to tell someone, you know what do you do? Right, you lay it out for them. You make sure you get their attention. You want to make sure that they are tuned in, they’re locked in, that they’re listening, right? You’re not going to just go, you know, say hey, you know just chat, chat, chat, chat, chat. If it’s something that is really important, you’re going to make sure that the person that you want to communicate this to has your attention. You’re going to lock in, you’re going to connect, you’re going to make eye contact. You’re going to be present, right? You’re not just going to just throw this out there. Hey, by the way, the house is on fire. No, that doesn’t work. What do you do? The house is on fire. We got to get out. This is what Jesus is doing right here. He’s really just making sure he’s grabbed their attention because he did not want him to miss what was going on. Okay, now the thing is, when you look at this right here, this verse, they’re truly, truly, i said he’s.
14:22
This generation will not fast-way through all these things take place. There’s been so much debate over this one verse. You know. Some people say this could be the entire Jewish generation and some might also be family, but ultimately people have been predicting and getting wrong at any times ever since. Right Most like and who knows Jesus? ultimately, he’s divine in his nature of understanding what he was trying to teach us. The main thing is he was going to peace. That he’s calling out here is that these things will take place. Will not? this generation will not fast-way through all these things take place, and we just have to understand it. You know what? Sometimes, then, jesus gives us different things that we’re not going to understand. Why we’re here on earth And I think this could be one of those moments but we’re not going to understand the true divinity of what he’s trying to tell us, the way he’s trying to reveal to us, because of our finite minds, we’re constricted by our timeline, not his timeline. His timeline is so much more important, so much more accurate, so much more divine than ours, right? So sometimes we just have to trust him.
15:26
When you get to 35, heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass. This is a pretty strong proclamation of Jesus making. He’s given us some good contrast, right, heaven and earth. He’s talking about the limited nature of heaven and earth What’s going on here To the eternal nature of his word. I love how he compare and contrasts it right here.
15:45
Look, you know, heaven and earth will pass away, but my words might pass away. That speaks right there to his divinity, right, that’s it. The reverence we should have for him should just be poured out. Guys, i’m telling you we have a redeemer. That should make you feel really good. We have redeemer. He tells these words right here My words will not pass away. How much confidence and assurance should you have in just those simple words right there, from this verse? Because I’m gonna tell you you, look around, look outside, look in the news, look on social media. All you see is distortion lies. Guys, we can rest assured, right here, his words will not pass away.
16:37
If you wanna understand how you can stand firm with him and do the thing that he’s called you to do, you’ve got to get into his word. You have to believe. You know what? This is not something that’s just written over a couple of thousand years and it’s irrelevant. No, the Bible is a living, breathing and there, word of God. This is so profitable for us from growing, for teaching and rebuking, for coming closer to him. You wanna hear God speak to you. Read the Bible out loud. He is telling us right here this confidence to his words. They’re not gonna fade, they’re not gonna pass away, you know, and this ultimate truth is what he’s pulling us to is here too. So when you’re starting to question God’s timing, make sure that you’re spending some time with him and listening to the words that he’s given us. Right, because it’s not gonna pass away. It’s not gonna go away. And when you think about to guys, just feel convicted to take this.
17:34
There’s so much false things that are out there, false narratives of being pushed on and on as Christian men. Each and every day I get it, guys, on immense pressure, as I am, to lead our families, to lead our careers, to lead, just to do the things God’s called us to do. It’s usually 180 degrees from the way the world says it should be done, right. My encouragement to you is this when you think about your life and the things that are happening in the world around us, think about counterfeits and how they are identified. So if you actually do some studying in the currency system, a counterfeit deal to be identified, they actually study the real bills. So you don’t identify a counterfeit by trying to see what a counterfeit looks like. No, what you do is you study the real 20 or $100 bill, whatever it may be, and you know that thing inside, out, front, back, sideways, it doesn’t matter. You can immediately, if you’re a trained guy, you can look at that bill and see okay, yep, that is a genuine $100 bill right there. Now, when the counterfeit bill comes up, you can quickly see too hey, this isn’t right. Something looks a little off here. Nope, that’s not good. Oh, look at here. Wrong president, whatever it is right, or this pixel is a little bit out of place.
19:08
The cool part is we have the same ability today. How do we do that? You gotta know God’s word. If you know God’s word and when he’s trying to tell you and reveal to you in your life, you can quickly, very quickly, say you know what Things you’re trying to. The world’s telling me that doesn’t align, or maybe even hear your pastor. This happens.
19:33
They get outside of God’s word. They say something like I don’t know about that. Go check out God’s word. But the only way you know and you can discern that is you have to know the word. You know the word. You gotta spend some time on the word And every time you do that, you’re growing your relationship with him. You’re growing closer and closer to Jesus, because that’s ultimately what he’s all about. He wants to have a relationship with you, guys. He’s not like a dictator, no, he wants to have a relationship with you. So spend time with him. I love my wife And guess what? Nobody has to tell me to spend time with my wife. I want to spend time with her. I love hanging out with her. I like doing stuff with her. I just want to be around her.
20:11
The same thing should be for us in his work. There should be an ignorance, a drive, and it’s each and every day to get up and spend time with him, because his words right here will not pass away. We can trust in that, guys. We can put 100% of our faith into those couple words right here. My words will not pass away. Six words Right there, fellas.
20:33
So again, we think about God’s time and you’re trusting him. I know things that feel so off. Sometimes You just feel like he’s not listening, he’s not there. He isn’t here. You’re Christ. I’ll just show you guys, he is there. Understand his words will not pass away. You feel like he’s this, you’re disconnected from him, he’s not listening or his timing’s off. Get in the word Just often about God’s word and start reading. You don’t know where to start. Start, john, just start. I always point people to John. He’s just a great gospel to read. And just start listening to him and give the Holy Spirit an opportunity to speak to you. Not just speak, but actually hear what he’s trying to tell you. Okay, now we’re going to come back. I’m going to take our last break. We’re going to come back and unpack a few more verses here, guys, and hopefully this is going to help you again keep growing in your faith as you try to simplify and fly God’s word. So we’ll be right back from after this break.

22:40
So we’ve gone through. What kind of went through? versus 32 through 35 year in Matthew 24. Now let’s look at 36 to 41. I’m just going to read these up front again. If you’re tracking along in your Bible, i encourage you to go ahead and start and read along. Highlight each, whatever you need to do. But verse 36 says But of that day and hour, no one knows, not even that angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Well, the coming of the Son of man will be just like the days of Noah, for, as in those days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving and marriage, until the day of Noah entered the ark And they, not understand, until the flood came, took them all away. So will the kind of Son of man be In verse 40,? Then there will be two men in the field, one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be riding at the mill, one will be taken and one will be left. All right, guys, so let’s go on. Here.
23:39
He’s again pointing about his return, and this is a pretty big reminder to us as we read this, that we don’t know his return. We’re not gonna know it right, and I don’t know about you. I am thankful that I don’t know it. I mean, just like I’m thankful I don’t know what my last day is gonna be. You should be thankful of that too. So many people are gonna get them. Tell them, well, i wish that me. I knew it much longer. I had left. Why, why would you wanna know that? That would be the most, the worst information I could ever have on a planet. It’s not like how much time I have left. I don’t wanna know that, cause I wanna live each and every day to glorify him. If I’m always worried about, is this my last day? You gotta suck every bit of joy out of it, out of everything. Nobody wants to see it count down going No, not on us, no, you don’t wanna have that. So this is a pretty good area of scripture to help us understand again more about his time. So when you look at verse 36 says but in that day and hour, no one knows, not even angels of heaven were sought, but to follow along, okay. So yeah, this is really where he’s talking about here in verse 36.
24:46
If you go back to spiritual kickoff I spent a lot of time talking about this one He’s basically addressing question about when, cause they wanna know at the beginning of chapter when are this stuff gonna happen? And he didn’t. What he’s doing he’s not gonna tell them. I mean, he is divine, he is omniscient, he’s omnipresent. Obviously he could have told them all this, but he didn’t do that. He did not do that Why? Because he wanted to make sure he pointed everything he could to his father told him to do And God remember, jesus took on flesh, still fully man, fully God, 100%. It’s like he was 100% lamb, lamb of God, 100% lion, lion, jew, he’s it right And he had full deity. He definitely was fully human as well. And he’s just telling right here look, no one knows. No one knows, not even the angels.
25:41
Think about that. You would think the angels would be like your right hand bros of God, right, surely they would have the outside scoop. Surely they would have, they’d get the memo. Hey, the last day’s gonna be tomorrow. Jesus said nope, they’re gonna need to be surprised. The angels will be surprised. That tells you how significant, how important this is And how, ultimately, god’s in control. His timing is perfect because he’s perfect And he is love. He loves us. So when you feel like his timing is way off and he’s not listening, he doesn’t hear you yet And you’re, by yourself, trusting this verse, right? Okay?
26:24
Now when you look at verse 37, for the coming of the Son of man would be just like the days of Noah, for, as in those days before the flood, they were eating and drinking. Mary even gets embarrassed until the day of Noah entered into the ark. He’s magnifying the unpredictability. That’s what’s going on. He didn’t focus on the wickedness, right, those days, nope, he didn’t do that, but he kind of just made notion like look, they were just living their lives. They were just living their lives. He talked about marriage, he talked about parties, but ultimately they had no clue what’s going on. Right, they were ignoring them. Just think back to that. They were living their lives of sin. They completely ignored Noah.
27:04
Noah was out there building this thing. He didn’t build this thing over a weekend. Y’all This thing took over a hundred years. My pool was working on a boat and it never rained over a hundred years. People thought he was crazy, till that rain came And he entered that ark, right, and at that point, that point, it was too late.
27:24
What was going on? back then, he had spiritual complacency. That was happening. That’s what was happening. Spiritual complacency happened And they were doing things the way they wanted to do it And God’s like no, here’s what happened. They didn’t understand Right, they couldn’t get that. This is what we do it our way. We get in trouble Because look at verse 39. They did not understand until the flood came and took them all away. So we’ll be like the coming of the Son of Man. They never got it. They completely missed it. You know, when you think back to the story of Noah, had Noah’s wife and sons and their wives, that was it. That was it. It was all started over at that point, right. And sometimes you know what Jokes you ever have people that tell bad jokes. Maybe it’s a joke that just flies by you. We just miss it. That’s what was going on here. They just missed it, right. That really was going on.
28:17
You had two basic camps. You had those that know it, okay, those that don’t. And it’s our jobs as believers to share the good and the gospel with as many people as we can, because we need to make sure that others know him, that they know him, okay. So this is very important scripture As we look at it here, right here, as you know. Again, another great way to make a connection Jesus knew his disciples. He knew a lot of their backgrounds. He knew that this story of Noah would have been very relevant. They would have known, they would have remembered. This was been very top of mind. So it’s not like he had to go back to a lot of foundational type teaching. He connected with them before he gave them any more direction And it’s just beautiful how he did this.
29:03
Now, when you look at verses 40 and 41, we were handed to infellows. It says then there will be two men in the field Won’t be taken, won’t be left. Two women will be running at the meal Won’t be taken, won’t be left. The main point when he’s trying to call out here is we have to be ready for judgment at all times. At all times. You gotta live like it’s gonna happen today, all right, that’s it. There’s gotta be some urgency going on here. Fellas, when you read these verses, there should be an adult assistant. Urgency. That’s happened, right. And what should that urgency be? To share the goodness of the gospel with others.
29:37
If you don’t have urgency, an eager desire to share the gospel with others, what are you doing? Because you couldn’t miss your opportunity. You may be the only opportunity that one person has to have the goodness of the gospel shared with you, and I know what you’re thinking. Well, man, i can’t do that, cause what if I share it and they reject me? Okay, ain’t about you? Well, what if they ask questions? I don’t know the answer? to Go for the find out the answers. You gotta take the excuses off the table.
30:09
Lean with, start off with your testimony. Let that be the way you lean in And actually make the connection. First, connect with them, ask questions. I do this all the time. This is how I evangelize. I ask a lot of questions. I try to make a form of a relationship because I genuinely care about people. I wanna help them, but I can’t do it if I’m always the one talking. So you usually means asking a lot of questions, seeing how I can serve them, know a little bit about their story and the stuff that they’re up against, the struggles they have, cause you never know.
30:47
He’s very clear That’s gonna be two of the field. What’s gonna be taken? What’s gonna be left? Two women at the grinding meal What’ll be taken? What’s gonna be left? Look around right now, wherever you’re at maybe in your home, maybe you’re at work Look around right now and just imagine the hats people go. It’d be scary. Right Should be. I’m not trying to scare you guys into taking some crazy action. What I am trying to do is magnify the importance of spring, the goodness of the gospel, with others, no matter where you’re at, and your mission field is wherever you’re at right now.
31:21
You’re most likely you’re not sitting in a church listening to the Lion of Dennis If you are cut this off and listen to your dog on pastor. We are not a church, we are a supplement Okay, so there’s no replacement for the local church. But, guys, you have to have some urgency here. You have to make it a priority. You have to actually lean in and have the hard conversations, do the hard things. That’s what being a leader is all about. Anybody could be a leader when things are easy. That’s not what it’s about.
31:47
Lean into the heart, lead with actual empathy for others, compassion, care and then share. If you do that with a genuine heart, with a genuine desire to help people, guys, you can’t fake that. You can’t fake it, and people will see that, they will recognize that this person actually genuinely cares about me, and that changes everything, about everything. And that’s what Jesus is pointing out to you right here. That’s really what he’s pointing out to you here. So, guys, as you start thinking about the timing, he says right here he’s going to be two in a field. Once we go, once we’ve left two women, once we go, once we’ll be left, the timing is going to be quick, like a thief in the night, it’s going to be gone.
32:37
So we have to trust this timing. That means trust that today, whatever the day is you’re listening to this episode, that this is your opportunity to share the goodness of the gospel with others. That’s your reality, fellas. We get to heaven. We can’t take anything with us. Nope, it doesn’t matter what you accumulate here on earth, it doesn’t matter where you go to school, it doesn’t matter what your job is, it doesn’t matter how many companies you started, how many millions of billions of dollars that you made. The only thing that you’re going to take to heaven People. How many are you bringing with you? Because that’s the timing that’s important. That’s really the ultimate trustee in God’s timing, what it’s all about Make the most out of the time he gives you here on earth.
33:19
Some of you guys may get 8,900 years. I pray that for all of you. I pray that for me. Some of us may not get that long. A lot of us. We know people who’ve already their time’s up. Sometimes it’s way too short. I think about my little girl. Her time was way too short, right, so we never know our time, but we do know we could be obedient with the time he’s given us. That’s why I started to lie with Dennis. That’s what we’re all about Trying to point others to the goodness of the gospel. I do a silly thing like a podcast And now a really great thing like a community to serve people.
33:55
But trust is timing. You can take that fellas, take that to the bank. You can trust in that, you can lean on him. I’m going to pray for us. Just thank you, god, for your word, thank you that you were able to just sit here in your word and to study it together. I pray that there’s something in this podcast episode that just illuminates something in someone listening right now to understand that your timing is perfect, your timing is always perfect, your timing is divine, that we can trust in that God. So just thank you for your word, thank you for giving it to us so we can read it, we can have that closer relationship with you And we pray everything according to your will, Jesus, amen. So, guys, i love to know your feedback on this show, on what you’re thinking about these types of episodes. I really enjoyed doing them, but I want to know what you think about it, because if they don’t, you know, if they’re not doing anything for you, hey, you need to let us know, because ultimately, you know it’s serving you guys and helping you, deepening your relationship with Jesus. That’s what it’s all about. So that’s our prayer here.
