Question – if you had to present the Gospel today would you be able to?
Some guys are thinking “heck yes let’s do this” and for you Rambo I want to simply encourage you to make it happen as often as possible.
But for the guy that had his stomach knotted up a bit when they read the question, for you, please know that I was exactly where you are not too long ago. Coming out of Easter weekend most of us likely heard some version of a Gospel presentation and yet the idea of articulating that to someone else is intimidating.
I know for the longest time I shunned the idea of sharing it with others for the simple fear of rejection, or even worse the fear that there would be questions asked that I couldn’t answer. Let’s face it, there’s nothing worse for a guy than being asked questions we do not know the answer to.
The sad reality is that fear of the unknown often cripples guys from taking any steps forward and that is a mistake we cannot afford to make. How can we overcome this fear and build confidence by sharing the most important message that has ever been given to us? Reps!
That’s right, just like any muscle that you want to strengthen in the gym the only way to build personal confidence in sharing the Gospel is by forcing yourself to work through it on a regular basis. The best opportunities are usually the ones closest to you such as your wife, kids or church group. However, that can even be intimidating at times.
It would be an honor to be a sounding board and hear you walk through the Gospel with me. I have some resources I can share that may make it easier and for the guys that are ready to get off the pew and strengthen this area of your life reply back with “It’s Go Time” and we’ll set up a time to chat.
I’m cheering for you and now is the time to put your faith into action – let’s do this!
