In just a few days, we’ll flip the calendar to a brand-new year
2026 will be here before we know it, seriously where does time go? While that’s exciting, I’ve learned that too many New Year’s celebrations came and went where I missed a major opportunity to grow.
That opportunity comes when we take the time to pause and reflect — to look back on the year and see what God was teaching us.
My wife has a beautiful way of doing this through photographs. Each year, she captures special moments and compiles them into a photo book that we can look back on as the years pass. For her, those pictures ignite memories she hopes to hold on to.
For my mentor, reflection takes shape in his daily writings. Each year he gathers them, has them printed, and keeps them as a legacy — something his family can look through for encouragement long into the future.
As I look back on what 2025 held for me and for The Lion Within Us, there were both mountain-top and valley moments.
From the incredible highs of launching our Mastermind groups, releasing our first book, and meeting Pastor Joby…
To the deep valleys of breaking my ankle, going through multiple surgeries, and battling a staph infection — God was there through it all.
He continually reminded me to fully rely on Him, no matter the circumstances. Maybe that’s a reminder for you too — that our circumstances are circumstantial. They can change in an instant. That’s why it’s so important to pause and look back before the ball drops on 2026.
Take time to reflect on how God moved in your life this past year.
Thank Him for the mountain-top moments.
And yes, thank Him for the valleys — because it’s in those seasons that our faith deepens and our relationship with Christ strengthens.
This is the final Weekly Roar of 2025, and I want to say thank you — for taking the time each week to read, reflect, and hopefully be encouraged.
Celebrate the incredible year behind you and look forward to what He has in store for the year ahead.
And one last thing — remember your walk with Christ this New Year’s Eve. January 1st is a lot better without a headache. 😉 Your testimony matters.
Enjoy the time to reflect, laugh, cry, and praise Him for all He’s done.
Here’s to another year of growth, strength, and continuing to unleash the Lion Within!
Happy New Year!!
