This week was all about Cubs that are watching us. That’s right. Those little kids are always looking up to dad. They’re always on our heels.

They seem like they get ears that can hear things. Could never even imagine hearing they see stuff, they can sense it. So it’s really important as dads that we keep that in mind, that they are always watching always now versus a week. This week, we talked a lot about first Timothy three, four. He must be one who manages his own household.

Well, keeping his children honor control with all dignity wonderful verse this week in the main idea we talked to. How golly man. Remember their kids are always watching and how to set that example for them to follow. So on Wednesday’s episode, I covered a lot. I really unpacked a lot of information around, first of all, what was the boys?

Girls, girls. He has to raise them differently. That’s okay. Because God made us differently. Embrace that. Right. That’s talked a lot about that. I talked a lot about, uh, how we treat our wives. And how they’re always washing. So if you, if you’re trying to raise a daughter to want her to understand what to look for in a husband, how you treat your wife is what she’s going to look for.

And if you’re trying to raise your son to understand how to treat his wife, how you treat her is how he’s going to treat his wife. You are setting the example and guys, we’re not going to always get it right. Get it. So when you don’t get her, I need to talk to them. You need to let them know. We talked a lot about content and how, what, what, what you, what you accept and what you don’t accept and how you set rules.

And don’t set rules. You know what? We’re leaving our families the way God wants us to, it does not align with the world period. So you’re going to have to make some decisions you will. They’re probably not going to be popular. And I’m sorry to tell you that guys. We’re either going to do the right thing and the way God wants us to, or we’re going to do the easy thing.

And I don’t want you. I want you to take the right path. You can do this. Your kids are counting on you. And I believe in you guys, I know without a shadow of a doubt, the impact that you can make on your kids. We also talked about elders and how we need to respect them. And we talked about the family structure and how you, how you know, God defined.

God then your spouse, then your kids and understanding that family structure, having that conversation with them. So I think it’s very important to get hope. You get a lot out of that conversation. If you did share with some other lions out there, send that message out. This is a, this was a topic that has been all my heart and praying a lot about it because I don’t have it all figured out.

I don’t, I’m not trying to come off anyway like that. I figured this stuff out one day at a time. One mistake at a time and you get a little bit better. You know, Jordan Peterson says, you know, you compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Right? I can’t compare myself to the dead down the street. And if it looks like he’s got it all together, cause you know what, he’s struggling in some areas too.

I’m just may not see them, but I can’t compare myself to who Chris is yesterday and see, can I be a better dad? And that’s the, that’s the challenge to see if he can be a better dad today. That’s it? Okay. So there was a fun episode now for a fun Friday. I want to give you some, some tips. We always give you a health, wealth, and a self tip for a health tip.

I want you to, just to encourage you to get outside with your kids, get moving. There’s a great opportunity to get outside, to get moving. Get that heart rate up, nothing excites a kid, like going on a hike with his dad. They love it. It gets them outside. It gets you engaged. It gets that heart rate up. All of these things are good to get outside and get moving well, tip you responsible for teaching your kids about money.

So I want you to, what I want you to do this week is remove the word allowance and insert the word commission. Start teaching. Hold on money standpoint that nothing has given to us in life. We need to work for it. So if you’ve been doing an allowance, shifted up instead of on allowance, make it a commission, make them work and, and earn the money.

Now we’ll start laying a foundation, a good foundation of not having an expectations around money, not being expected to be given something. Right. There’s lots of boundaries around that. We can definitely help you think through ways to engage some fun ways to get those kids moving in the right direction and increase their mental capacity around.

Well, now our self tip, I want you, this is all about the kids. Bottom line guys, you can’t buy your kids. Love your kids. All they want is your time. That’s it. They want your time. They want to be with dad. So you gotta find ways. You gotta forget that calendar. Look at that family counters really sit down and get super zoned in and attentional what that counter looks like to make sure you’re spending the time that they need.

They need you guys. They need you, they need dad. That’s going to be there and help them understand what it’s like to be a man, what it’s like. But for our younger. To expect out of a husband, they need to see that. And it can’t just be bought. We will. So much, many of us are focused on our careers and trying to build this, whatever we’re trying to build.

Right. To get to the next thing. Don’t miss the opportunity to be present for your kids. There’s yourself tip. Okay. So get outside, teach them about a commission instead of allowing. And your kids, they just want your time. That’s it all right. At a book of the week and actually went to chicken soup for the soul, the wisdom of dads, this actually over 101 stories in here.

And it’s a lot of encouragement in this book, you know, from the power of fathers, love supportive dads, dads advice, what single fatherhood looks like. Treasured moments learning from our kids. Probably we’ve been talking about a lot this week, right? The lighter stuff. Father knows best things like that.

And the question I want you to ponder this week, going into the weekend, are you leading your children or is the world really think about that?

Are you leading them or is the world leading them? Because if you’re not guys, somebody is, and I want you as the lion to be the head of that house and to be the head of your children and taking them down a path that you desire, you can do it, but I know you can that shared this content.
