This is the most important part Matthew 24, verse 36, but concerning that day and hour, no one knows, not even the angels of heaven nor the sun, but the Father only. So, guys, go back, check out that SKO, really unpack that verse in depth. And I spent a lot of time in our main episode this week talking about trusting God’s time. What does that look like in our life? How can we actually move from just saying that we trust God’s timing to actually applying? okay, applying trusting God’s timing. And we spent a lot of time there towards the end talking about you know, we just don’t know. but we can trust in Him, we can trust that He is perfect, he is siren, he is God, and we need to know that, and each and every day that He gives us. It’s a really good supplement just to help you keep going and just to be in the word each and every day. Make it super simple. Friday our health, wealth and self-tip. Don’t remember health as mind and body, wealth as career and finances, self as husband and dad. Okay, so now the first tip, a health tip. I want you to think about cultivating the mindset of surrender. So we need to recognize first and foremost, fellas, that we are not in control of every aspect of our lives. We are just not right, so we got to, if we start practicing surrendering all of a sudden. Our plans and our desires should point to God, okay, and then we can trust in His timing And this week all about His timing, his timing being perfect. So surrender your plans to His right, because when you do this you’ll be able to reduce your stress, reduce your anxiety, you’re going to be able to have a stronger mental health, you’ll be a better emotional well-being. Guys, you’re just going to get a much better place to do what He’s causing you to do.

When you surrender to say you know what? I surrender to the Lordship of you, that’s surrendering. That’s not a wording. That’s like we don’t want to surrender. Whoever played war, we’re on up. You never surrendered. You got taken out, but you never surrendered. This is different. You have to surrender to Him, say you know what? I don’t have this. I need you to show me. I want to follow your path. I want to be walking in the steps that you desire, god, because my steps I’m going to mess up, i’m going to do things wrong. So I’m sure you think about what does it mean to cultivate a mindset of surrender? Okay, and not in a bad way? Again, this is not the power of the Caribbean type of thinking fellas, this is not it. This is surrendering to the worship of Jesus. All right, now for your wealth tip. I want to touch on this in four seconds.

Sometimes God’s timing means delaying gratification, and I know that’s not popular these days. We feel like these days we have to have stuff when we want it, how we want it, wherever we want it. We don’t have to wait. We don’t like waiting for anything. Thank you for how food is delivered to us. Now, if you go to Chick-fil-A and you have to wait more than three minutes, everybody gets mad, right, we just do. Why? Because their service is so outstanding. You’ve come and used to it. And now we have people you know who have or are graduating college with six figures of student loan debt, making 30, 40,000 a year, and they feel that they should get a house that’s the size of their parents. Why? Because they don’t want to delay any gratification. I deserve this. Guys, this is something.

If we’re gonna be stewards, if we’re gonna actually walk and do the things that God has called us to do, we have to make sure that we understand his timing, and his timing is perfect And his timing is great, and sometimes that means we need to delay stuff on our end And that is not a popular way to think about things. I totally get it. But I’m telling you, if you want to be a leader, if God calls you to be, you’re gonna have to learn how to place a gratification. It’s slow. Your roll on something. Maybe before you hit that big item, that purchase on that next big item, take a day or two to think about it. The last thing you want to do is get caught to a payment or to a contract that you can’t get out of. So delay that gratification.

Try to find contentment and things that you have, things that you have going on, instead of always looking for the next best thing. I know we are driven, as Americans in particular, to always be thriving and always be thinking about the next dollar, and I get it Always saying I’m all about capitalism. You’re never gonna hit me with a thing, one second about that. Yeah, that’s why we have things we built within the line, within us. It’s people question that, but we’re all about serving others, but at the end of the day, we’re trying to serve our families as well. So we believe in capitalism, but we have to make sure that we’re delayed, that we put that God’s timing as the priority, and sometimes that means we have to delay gratification, and that’s not popular, particularly when you have kids and involved. But as quicker you can start teaching those kids the concept of delayed gratification, i’m telling you, better off they’re going to be, because, with so many people think just swiping and forgetting swiping and forgetting I’ll deal with it later.

Or just 10 points of payment is, and I’ll figure it out right, that type of mindset, that type of thinking, is what holds us back from being able to do the work he’s caused us to do. You have to be a good steward If you can show God that you are steward and the things that he has provided to you, those that is gonna do so much for you. So, one, it’s gonna release so much stress and anxiety from your life. But two, it’s just gonna show him you know you could trust me. Or? and if you provide me more, then I’m gonna be a good steward there. And if you provide me less, i’m gonna be a good steward there, because I’m not gonna get wrapped up in my circumstances. I’m gonna execute stewardship no matter what, and I want to delay gratification as much as I need. So just think about that concept.

Guys, i know this is a tip and you go. Well, i don’t really know about this What I’m telling you, fellas, if you’re struggling with something, delay that gratification, pray about it, talk about it with your spouse, spend some time. If all you do is sleep on it one night, that will help you make better decisions. All right now, self-tip, this is kind of a follow-up. I want to make sure you guys understand the difference between a vacation and a trip. Okay, now, very simple. This is a very simple formula, but don’t miss it Vacation equates kid-free, trip equates kids. So that’s it. So if you’re going on a trip, all right, and you had the kids out there, that is not a vacation. You are gonna be working, you’re gonna be trying to keep everyone happy and all these things happen.

You need to make sure that you get some vacations, particularly with your spouse, that are kid-free. Okay, then that could just be a simple day trip, whatever it may be. A lot of times it could be my wife. We try to take one or two of those trips a year where it’s just us, no kids, no babies, no preteens. None of that stuff happened, just she and I.

But there’s a major difference between a vacation and a trip. From a vacation, a lot of times you will come back rested, rejuvenated, ready to just feel like your battery’s charged up From a comeback from a trip. You probably need a vacation Now. Get anything that don’t happen, right. So just make sure you know the difference between the two.

If you haven’t taken a vacation with your spouse and you don’t remember when, maybe before you plan that next trip, once you go ahead and just circle out a couple of days and get a little vacation And just you and her, since you guys can connect Because it’s so important, i know you get wrapped up in doing all the things for all the kids. You say, well, chris, i can’t afford this. And look, i’m telling you right now if you don’t start investing in your marriage now, you’re not going to have a marriage to invest in in the future. So take the time to invest in your marriage, take the vacation with your spouse. I’m cool on trips. Do that too. You know budget, be a good steward, but just make sure you’re not just loving the kids and everywhere that you go.

You have to be intentional about this. Good, strong marriage is strong Christian marriages. Don’t just have to buy accident guys, it takes intentionality, it takes planning, it takes action. All right, for our book of the week this week, guys, i’m going to share a book with you that That I thought was really good. I’ve been reading through it. I haven’t gotten all the way through the entire book, just to be 100% honest with you guys. But it’s called the four views of hell And it’s pretty cool because what it’s giving you is giving you a literal, metaphorical, conditional and a purgatory view of hell. And what they do is for each writer they give their view and then the other three writers kind of go, that’s their rebuttal. So it’s pretty neat how it works down. So, if you ever want to just be honest, it’s more of a theological type of book, just wanted the idea of helping. We got brought up in our community by one of our members. I just was doing some research and had a couple of pastors actually recommend this book, so I’ll make sure there’s a link to this and to show it to you guys. But check that one out. It’s a pretty interesting read. For sure We start thinking about is the whole idea of annihilation or the view of fire.

Excuse me, what does that actually mean? Just the idea of what is hell, and ultimately it should drive us to share This is a gospel of others, because we want to keep as many people out there as possible, because all I know is hell is hot. Forever is a long time, and that’s the case, no matter what it actually is. I know all I can, particularly with people, that I know that my loved ones, to make sure they never have to experience that If you place your trust in the works of Jesus, you don’t have to worry about hell. You’re not going to do that. But that’s also when we have the knowledge of hell that should drive us to share the good things of the gospel with others.

We’ve talked about a lot God’s timing and how this, how this divine, how it’s sovereign, how it’s perfect and how small Our timing is compared to the nature of time and existence, and just in general. Just think about the mysteries that lie beyond. It’s pretty cool when he said it’s our thing about that. Good, think about one day when God reveals things to us. Just how awesome it’s gonna be. We’ve talked about a lot God’s timing and how this, how this divine, how it’s sovereign, how it’s perfect and how small Our timing is compared to the nature of time and existence, and just in general. Just think about the mysteries that lie beyond. It’s pretty cool when he said it’s our thing about that. Good, think about one day when God reveals things to us. Just how awesome it’s gonna be.
