All right, guys, spiritual kickoff time. Let’s dig into the word. Now we’re going to be in the book of 2 Peter. Okay, 2 Peter. We’ll be looking at chapter 1. Two verses, though. Two verses verses 3 and 4. It says For his divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness Through the true knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and excellence. Through these, he has granted to us his precious and magnificent promises so that, by them, you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world on account of lust. Don’t miss that last part, guys Lust. That’s where we’re going to be really digging into The first thing before we get any further. Where’s 2 Peter? Dad joke time After 1 Peter. Come on, fellas, You should know that right now. But seriously, let’s know where 2 Peter is. Go to your New Testament, go to Revelation, all the way to the very end. Revelation, not revelations, okay, it’s not plural. And then start flipping back. So you’ll get Titus, you’ll get 3rd, 2, 1, john. All right, then you’ll get to 2 Peter. That’s where you’re going to find it. It’s going to be towards the back of your book. Maybe you need to check out table contents, but if you go to the back of Revelation and flip back a little bit, you will find 2 Peter. So these verses are so appropriate, so appropriate.

But we’re going to be talking about this week because we’re going to be tackling an issue that not a lot of people want to talk about, particularly in the church. But we’re going to hit it, and it’s sexual purity. We’re going to talk about sexual purity head on, because that is something that gets completely twisted up when you look at the world. What is it going to tell you? It’s going to tell you to hook up, shack up, break up, and then it’s repeat, just over and over and over. That cycle never stops, fellas, i’m telling you, and it’s impacting how so many people are viewing relationships And it’s just wrong, it’s completely wrong. It’s almost as though, as if it’s weird now, if you don’t live together before you get married, and it’s just amazing how fast the values can be compromised. And look, i’m a guilty party. I’ve walked that with my ex-wife. We lived together before we got married. It’s just there’s things that the world tells you that it’s okay, and I am telling you it is not Because I’ve walked it now with Rebecca doing it God’s way And it is so much more blessings doing his way, and it’s just how fast those values go away. It’s really crazy. An area that really has impacted men in particular, but even women to a great degree.

Now It’s pornography. Okay, and the impact is having there and to prep for this week’s message, right, we need to see what God’s word can reveal to us. I’m telling you because this is this episode is coming up. It’s gonna be big because we’re all in this battle. And guess what, even if you do not suffer with porn addiction, you may like Chris, i don’t look at porn. I guarantee you one thing some of your brothers in Christ do, they do. I have guys in our community Right now who I’m their accountability partner because they, they struggle with pornography and they just expose it to the light Whenever they get they, they look at porn. They send me a text and there’s no combination. Remember, there is no combination for those of Christ, jesus. No, but I do hold them accountable. I’m there with them and we’re going. We and we pray through this together and we put up one of the resources to help them. Okay, so, even if you don’t, i’m telling you, the stats are there, they’re staggering. This is a spiritual warfare battle, guys. I am telling you and this is coming at us, it’s coming in your church pews. The next time you go to church, just look around that church. Your church is not immune. There’s pornography rampant at the church right now. And we got to start standing firm.

So we see it, second, peter, right here, that the power to overcome these dog forces come directly from the Lord. Right, it comes. We have that desire to live, to live a life pursuing his ways. Right, that means surrendering our own ways and desires and choosing here’s the word you’re not gonna like obedience. Obedience Because we know, fellas, that corruption is real and it’s pretty much everywhere you look around. And when you get to make that choice, you got.

Look what Peter tells us. We have God’s precious and magnificent promises granted to us. They’re they’re granted to us. We had the promise. We’re on the winning team. We’re not just sitting on the bench either, fellas. This is not like you’re on the winning, that’s not like you play for An amazing baseball team or basketball team. He had the best players in the world and you just ride the pine. No, god wants you in the game and being a partaker is What he desires. that should get you pumped up. That’s pretty dog one. Awesome. If you ask me, i’m telling you Right It’s a much bigger deal to be actually in the starting lineup and Contributing, then just sitting there watching. So don’t just be that pew Christian. It just sits back and just pew sitter man, you have to get up and do stuff. Get up and do stuff Because we know that lust is real and this lust, fellas, it takes down a lot of guys And it’s part of even ones package.

We know we get to less to the flesh and the lusted eyes and that stuff is out, there, is taking out so many and Pornography is hit that head on. I mean you look at the stats now for pornography from a, from a shared dollar standpoint, unbelievable. But thankfully we are not in this battle alone. We had the power to overcome this darkness and you made me think right now you know what man It’s. It’s better that I look at this porn than cheating on my wife. And if you’re thinking that right now, i just want to check you. You are wrong, bro. You are wrong. Stop trying to rationalize this stuff, because we try to rationalize something. You know what you’re doing, right. You’re just trying to make rationalize period Period. So what do you got to do? you got a prune and sexual morality from your life. You do.

I know guys right now who had their wife in the bedroom and then they’ll be in a bathroom looking at porn. You know, ten feet away from actual connection, and they’re choosing that And we have to. Just, we can’t accept that. We can’t accept that as Christian men, because when we, when we puke, when we prune that sexual morality, you’re gonna have a freedom that you’re gonna find, that so many people search for But very few actually get there. Okay, that freedom of being sexually pure, being sexually connected with your spouse, but the one that, under the covenant of marriage that God has given you, there is Nothing more fulfilling than that, nothing more fulfilling. And remember, you are called, you listening right now. You’re called to be a partaker with him. A partaker, lean into that. I mean every chance you get, lean into that And seek opportunities to keep being that partaker and doing good and sharing the gospel and per and just pointing as many people As you can to the good news of Jesus.

So, guys, i know you may be struggling porn. You may be one of these guys right here, or you know guys that are, or you maybe you’ve gone through spells where you look at it, you don’t look at it. You look at it, you don’t look at it. We’re gonna unpack. You got to come back to this Wednesday episode. We’ll unpack the reason why And give you some, some tools, not just to Try to, you know, put a patch over it. No, i don’t want to just patch it, we want to remove it and that you can actually remove this. You can remove this from your life And I know we are so connected now when we think about pornography, how it’s just Evolved.

Think about when I was a kid, grew up in the 80s, 90s That was, you know, trying to find a Playboy magazine somewhere. Right now, i’m a bone of my my Iphone. For the people that are there, watch on YouTube by way, subscribe to us on YouTube if you haven’t yet come on out. What you waiting on? It’s right here. And if you hand one of these to your children an Unlock phone, an unlocked smartphone You might as well hand them a pistol. It’s the same danger that exists. That’s why my kids don’t have them yet. That’s also why we’re the weird ones and our in our block, in our neighborhood, in their class, and I can’t. I can’t just willingly give them a loaded gun And just say, good luck, not gonna do it. And I know you can put devices and you can put all these restrictions and things like that, but I’m here to tell you guys, these kids are smart, they’re smart. See, you got to be careful And this is how it gets into us, is how it infiltrates many guys.

Next thing, you know, if you get, i was talking to a buddy recently. He was on he’s, his wife urged him to get on Instagram and he didn’t want to. But he got on Instagram and One of the most Christian dudes I know loved the death and he was telling me, you know what, after a week of being on Instagram, how it’s so addictive and the feed, your personal feed, or that algorithm, is there for a reason and it’s checking you. It’s gonna put things out. It’s gonna see do you slow down your slow down your scroll? Do you speed up What do you like? and next thing, you know that thing is fine tuning itself. He said you know what I noticed after a week? It’s crazy How many women popped up in my feed, how many sexually implicit ads are there. And that’s not a coincidence, guys.

This is a direct tack from attack from the evil one. So if you find yourself on the social media feeds or your tick tock I know you guys like watch tick tock You better be dog on, careful, that tick tock. It’s just as it’s kind of like a gateway to porn. So if you’re a tick tock guy, you’re out there watching that stuff and next thing you know you’re pausing at these little videos with these girls and stuff Telling you you must stop it. It’s a gateway. You’ve got to turn that stuff out.

Now I put stuff out on tick tock for the lion within us. I put stuff out and I get out of that because I know I can’t suck down. Get sucked down in that trail, tick tock. It’s nothing, nothing good for me there. And we put stuff on these social channels to give you some light. But be careful, because right here you have to. You have to escape the corruption That the world that is in the world on account of lust. Peter’s telling us that the only way to escape the corruption guys is you got to take some action. If you take some action, you can, you can break free. That’s how you unleash the loud dent. tell me, fellas. So right, right now.

Here’s a question I want you to think about. Do you yearn for freedom from sexual sin? I know a lot of you guys are struggling with this. So do you yearn for that freedom from sexual sin? Now, if you’ve never accepted Jesus as your savior, this is your day. Whatever day this is, whenever you’re listening to this, this is your day. You just first have to admit this you’re a center. Understand it. You are a center. You’re not a mistake or any of a life coach. No, no, no, no, no. There’s something to be said about coaching, but then we’re talking about something different. You are a center and need of a savior period and there’s nothing you can do there any way to heaven.

So you had to believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he came down, he took on flesh, he walked amongst us, he taught us, he showed us, he did the miracles, he did all the things. But then he went to the cross. You have to believe. When he went to that cross He pushed up on his nail, pierced feet. He said to tell us die at his finish, that somehow that count for you And if you believe that. And then he overcame death, okay, he ascended to the right hand to heaven. He said right handed the father.

Right now, if you believe that in all your heart You got confessing his Lord and I’m not talking about teacher You have to confess Jesus is Lord. If you confess him as Lord, at that moment the Holy Spirit is going to come and dwell you and you’re there. You’ll be ready to do the work He’s called you to do. So, if you’re ready to accept Christ right now, let’s let’s pray this prayer together as we move forward, because this is the biggest decision You’ll ever make. But today’s guy could be the day that changes everything for you everything. Let’s pray, father. I just pray for the person that’s listening right now, who’s been on the fence, god, about surrendering their life to you. I pray you give him a piece that passes all understanding. I pray, god, that you just move in our life right now and show them that their way Is. It’s not the way That the way is when they put their life in your hands and confess you as Lord and Savior. So I pray for that man or woman who’s making that decision right now, that you give them peace, you give them wisdom, that you just give them comfort right now. That you give them hope, god, as they move forward in their new life as blood-bought believers in Jesus Christ. We pray all this corn in your will in Jesus’ name. Amen.
